December 16, 2000: Stained glass cookie
I made #Stained glass cookie" for children's Christmas party to be held tomorrow.
The instruction is on last year's December edition of Female Friends magazine.

Bright colorful candies are crushed by a hammer for use as "stained glass."

Sour sweet smell soon filled the kitchen.
Cookie paste is punched in various shapes and baked lightly. After packing crushed candy into the holes, they are baked again.

The candy is melt down and becomes glass-like transparent state.
This time, I used available shapes. The various designs of the cookies look very lovely.

Finally, the cookies were wrapped beautifully like this.
The other half of the cookies is packed carefully as a souvenir
to a friend in Hong Kong we visit from December 20.
