September 13,1999: "Homework" from Korean Internet Jiphyunjeon Group by Mie

Late last month, some of COARA members took summer vacations and made a short trip to Seoul, Korea. We met Internet Jiphyunjeon members who were actively working so as to be useful to the world through the Internet. They are currently working on the publication of a book "Korean Old Anecdotes" in Japanese in order to transmit Korean culture to Japanese people. We were asked to check the draft of the book.
After we returned home, we discussed how to work on the "homework" through the E-mail. We had the first meeting tonight to promote the work. We came up to a meeting room in COARA office in Oita city, Mr. Mori (chief of the trip), Mr. Yuuki, Mr. Inoue, Mr. Suyama, Ms. Fujii, and Mie. When I entered the office, Mr. Yuuki has already been working on a copier.
Mrs. Tomoko Shirley, a member who joined the trip, sent a fax, saying she couldn't attend the meeting. She wrote very elaborately, through her experience, how to read proofs or compile a draft. Thanks to her suggestion, we could work very smoothly.
Based on the original Japanese translated by Jiphyunjeon members, we checked particles, colloquialisms, and common expressions. Mr. Mori said what was meaningful was to share the homework by all the members, and laid down quotas for all work to the members. Well, a new movement will develop through the Internet between the two countries, Korea and Japan, who put a strait between them. This is really a delightful cooperation. Next time, we will gather to exchange the proofs.

Mention the word delighted, Mr. Yuuki looks very happy and has ants in his pants tonight, because he purchased a new note PC in Tokyo, Vaio form Sonny. He soon demonstrates it by taking pictures with the camera mounted on the body, and immediately taking them into the PC. The body color is of silver-blue, which looks very smart. Well, don't forget to do the homework !

Mr. Miyse, who couldn't join the meeting, showed up on 15th evening together with his wife to pick the manuscript up. A pleasant memory in Seoul flourished again.
