September 8, 2011 The end of the journey Rovaniemi Airport
At last, here Rovaniemi airport, I nave to say good-bye to Mr.Klaus.
As we have enough time until the departure, we took lunch at the restaurant on the second floor. The lunch was buffet type. Bean soup and soft pancake were good.
Mr.Klaus will go back North as far as Kalasjok or Utsjoki. I hate to say good-bye to him but I had no other choice.
RovaniemiA small plane brought me to Helsinki in an hour.
From Helsinki to Kanku was a long flight. I killed time by watching movies, sleeping, and calling the Polar Light.
No, this is not a polar Light.

The monitor tells me how far I have visited many countries in the dreamy Scandinavia.
The next day,September 9, I arrived at Kanku International airport around 9 a.m. Japan time. Japan was still in the harsh heat of summer. We took off our coat and push them into the luggage.
We took a limousine from Kanku to Osaka, then to Oita by a small plane.
I spread the souvenirs of the journey. Lovely Santa Claus miniature, Christmas mug cups, and Sami-designed cups.
A T-shirt of Polar Light, a mouse pad of polar dogs,Scandinavian design muffler and socks, and so on.

I also bought many lovely cookie boxes like those.
One of my friend told me the name of the characters.
Left under Moomin, center Moominmamma, right Moominpappa
left up Snufkin, and right up Mymble.
Mr.Klaus will drive back south alone after his work in northern cities. I wrote him a thank-you message. He responded back saying he saw my mail in Karasjok on September 11.
He said he had enjoyed Cranberry picking in the field together with his friends. He looked happy with his efforts.
I greatly appreciate his kindness during the long journey in the Northern Europe.
