June 19, 2006 - July 11, 2006: Trip to Europe
June 24,
We left Zermatt and headed to Interlaken. Our big suitcases were transported to Zermat station by electric cars. We walked down to the station.
Suitcases should be fixed to the handrail by chain in the train.
Tash station.
We got on a bus from Tash. The bus then was transported by a car-train.
A simple car-train.
Car-train mark.
It was hard for the bus driver to set the bus in the right position on a narrow train.
We got off the car-train at Kandersteg and arrived at Wilderswill. We changed to a train to Alpengarten Schynige Platte (2068.) The outside trees stand perpendicular. It means the inclination of the rail was so steep, maximum 25 degree.
Beautiful Jungfrau came into sight at last after passing forest zone.
We got an instant friend in the train, the couple from Belgium. We talked them that we were going to visit Belgium after Switzerland. They were delighted.
The lunch at Schynige Platte.
We will visit Jungfrau tomorrow.
Alpengarten lecture.
Each flower has nameplate nearby.
Clear air produce such beautiful flowers.
We took down train to Interlaken.
We had a shower after we arrived at the hotel. In the evening, we walked out to see the town.
The town was beautiful.
