Japanese June 19, 2006 - July 11, 2006: Trip to Europe |
|
Local time was June 21 morning. The time difference between Japan is 7 hours. |
|
I walked around the hotel.
Huge dust boxes. It seemed that they completely gather garbage in segregated disposal system
Just behind the hotel was a railway station. The commuters were already on the platform.
A beautiful flowerbed in the station square with red cannas.
I exchanged the money at the hotel. I first saw Swiss Fran bills.
At nine in the morning, we started at last. One and a half hours drive took us to Heididorf. I was impressed by the picturesque Alpine village.
Heididorf in Meinfeld.
Heidi fountain was made almost exclusively for Japanese tourists.
The author of Heidi had once lived here. The cattle was grazing peacefully just like Heidi story.
Heidi hutte in the back.
Heidi and Peter dolls. | |
Heidi books translated into many languages.
Tall lindenbaum offered cool shade with the benches.
A short down walk took us to the restaurant.
Vegetable ham roll, white fish ball, potato, and crape jelly were very good for the lunch.
After passing Julia pass with the altitude of 2280, we arrived at St.Moritz. The hotel was Baren (bears.)
In the afternoon,we took a bus to Segantine Museum we had long been hoping to see the pictures.
My husband was long been loved Sagantini paintings of Alpine light and shadow. He was very satisfied by seeing the original paintings. I dared to wear a long dress I brought in with me just for this moment.
We walked back to the hotel through the center of St. Moritz. The small town is famous for its winter Olympic games held in 1924 and in 1948.
Kulm Hotel was the first hotel in St. Moritz and contributed to the development of the town.
I enjoyed shopping with a tour friend.
Switzerland's local food of meat fondu was very good.
