May 31-June1: Dishes in Okinawa
"Seasar", an ornament shaped in a lion, guards the entrance of the restaurant. I found so many bottles of Awamori, a sort of spirits.
The first dish was "Gochan puru." It was very good and all of us loved it.
On the left is assorted Mimigar (ear of pig). and on the right is "Ji-Marmie tofu."
Mozuku (seaweed) in sweetened vinegar was good.
"Douru-ten" was first for me.
"Narbera fried with soybean paste" is a food of sponge cucumber. It was first for me as well, but was good.
"Fried Gurukun" was very crispy, all the part of the fish can be eaten. Green vegetable is a sort of herb.
"Umi-Budou (sea grape)" was just taken out of the water pool and dipped in vinegar soy bean paste before eating. It was very crispy and good.
So many kinds of dish are listed on the wall. Any dish was served very quickly. I was very satisfied by the Okinawa foods.
The name of the restaurant was AKASATANA facing International Street in Okinawa Market place. We six also enjoyed much more dishes like Toufuyou,Rafty, Okinawa noodle. We shared all of the dishes by six.
Speaking of Okinawa. Awamori would be the top drink. The strong spirits is usually in such earthenware pot. I wanted to bring back it but it was so hard to do so. I purchased bottled Awamori, matured for 13 yeas and 43% alcoholic value.
We took buffet-style breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel. The decoration flower was very beautiful.
I took crispy bacon. I enjoyed it after a long time.
I looked through Public Market in International Street.
Boiled fish paste with various size and color.
A pig head frightened me a little.
Smoked pig heads are unusual for me.
Many beauiful fish in red or blue color. They will be cooked and served in the restaurant on the seconf floor.
On the second day I took rice gruel set on breakfast.
Speaking of beer in Okinawa, you can't forget Orion beer.
In the night, I enjoyed good time taking a cake set in the lounge on the back music of live piano.
Those drinks are of juce we took at tropical fruit garden in Gyokusendou.
From left, pine, papaya, Goya, and Gava. All of them were new for us.
