August 3, 2003: To Nasu Farm
The rainy season was over yesterday here in Tokyo, they say. We have a beautiful morning today.
I took a lot of fruits in the smorgasbord style breakfast.
One of the many restaurants in the hotel, this site features its Hawaiian style.
After checking out the hotel, I took Tohoku Shin-Kansen for the first time.
This is my destination, Nasu Shiobara in Tochigi prefecture, north of Tokyo.

Nasu Farm of Jiyu Gakuen is located here.
We will stay at this cottage from tonight. On the wall are lovely cow marks.
Here, we will have study classes together with many students and teachers of Jiyu Gakuen and members from national Group of Friends. The first study class started at 13:45 after self-introduction.
the guests were divided into two groups and roles were assigned on each group.
The orientation tour started from the lodgings to be used by the students after tomorrow.
Good flavor of wood fill the logging space. Small shelves will be used for keeping up students' belongings.
Some 100 cows are in the cowshed. The size of a cow is large enough to surprise us.
Large working wagons run around the farm for carrying the rolls of grass.
An old silo stands quietly by the old cowshed. Nasu Farm was started in 1941 by Mr. and Mrs. Hani wishing the healthy grows of young boys in the nature.
Lovely goats are the idle in the firm.
A small house in which Mr. and Mrs. Hani had once lived.
Their pictures are on the chest of drawers probably used by them.
