January 16: Cooking class for men (part 2)

by Mie
Today, my husband went to the second-time cooking class for men. As the menu is not revealed in advance, it is a kind of fun to imagine what cooking he has learned today. He called me from a super market, asking "Do we have ginger and garlic in the kitchen?" He told me that today's menu was "Chopped horse mackerel." He dropped in many super markets on the way back home to find the fresh fish. He usually hesitates to touch fresh fish, but today he made up his mind to slice the fish with one's sleeves rolled up.
Today's menu includes: chopped fresh horse mackerel, clear soup with the stock of the fish, and boiled taro with ground beef dressed with a thick starchy sauce. Boiled spinach which he learned in the last time class and Japanese-style salad were added to the main dish. He has been nervous in taking Sashimi of blue fish, but he enjoyed eating the Sashimi today saying "Anything is tasty so long as I cook by myself."

Today's rating would be, well as I partly helped him, 70%, I dear say.
