December 27,2006 Odd moment in the year end.

Just before noon, I walked out for exercise and posting my letter. The sun smiles at me after several cloudy days.

Magnolia bud is swelling already on the tall twigs.
Mailman is busy in the year end. He may be a working student. "Good morning", he called at me and ran quickly. He is gathering New Year post cards, I supposed.
Near-by apartment was under refreshing to welcome a new year.
The open cut path was also cleaned up.
Onion balls cropped in this autumn were hung neatly under the eaves.
Chinese cabbages were in dried in the sun. They will be pickled up soon.
Green vegetables were very very beautiful in the field. They may be added to the rice cake soup in the New Year food.
Many "Ukokkei" chickens were picking grains in the cage.
Snake gourds were rustling in the winter wind.
A stone image of Jizo guardian deity of children) sits still on the corner stone of the narrow path. Beautiful flowers were decorated.
Kale and Nandin were washed up by last evening rain.
Oranges were growing rich on the tree.
Rape blossoms were ready for bloom in the corner of the field.
Fresh leaves sprout up from the thick trunk of the ginkgo tree.
Beautiful flower bed was under the huge branches of camellia.
A nest was on the bare tree. Baby birds might have left the nest already.
After a short walk, I came back home and found daffodils in the small sunny spot.
How many days are left for the coming New Year ?
