January 21-27,2006: From Kyushu to Tokyo
Jan 21: I got up early in the morning at Yufuin lightly powdered with snow.
Nearby hill slopes were powdered as well and the air was cold but crispy. It was a beautiful day.
I went back home to park my car and headed to Oita railroad station to catch a JR train.

Jan 22: The dawn at "Red dragonfly lodge" in Tatsuno city, my birthplace.
I visited my mother's home to have the sixth anniversary of my dead father together with my brothers and sisters. All the families were good and my mother is in good health as well. My dead father was glad to see us from under the ground, I supposed so.
I took a coffee break in the morning at the lodge.
Jan. 23: I found myself in the white.
The red nuts of Nanten tree looked beautiful in the snow.
Jan. 24: I headed to Tokyo from Tatsuno. The landscape turned white after passing Kyoto city.
It was cold but beautiful. Mt.Fuji soars high in the blue sky wearing white cap. I supposed that the beautiful landscape might present me something good.
I arrived at the destination, "Tomorrow Hall" of Jiyuu Gakuen campus. The hall was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and designated as a Tokyo Metropolitan important cultural asset. The lawn garden was covered with snow as well.
In front of Tokyo First Group house was a lovely snowman that was safe after three days. The weather had been cold all through the conference.
I was surprised to find a Chinese ornament called Dancing Snake to cerebrate a New Year by the lunar calendar.
Jan. 27: I headed back home in Oita. Even in Tokyo, we could see a beautiful day like this in cold winter without smog. We still have cold days. I hope we can spend good days without catching cold.
