Japanese December 18, 2005: Sunday afternoon concert |
|
I visited a concert held at Tanoura beach of Beppu bay, Oita city. The hills of Kunisaki peninsula were visible across the bay. |
|
The concert was held at a rest house for summer time swimming.
We had the coldest day in this winter today. The back hills of the bay were covered with snow.
We had a concert by Ms.Kyouko Asou, my good friend flutist, and Mr. Fukada of piano.
I enjoyed the concert in relax by drinking tasty beverages.
Mr. Fukada started the concert.
Ms. Asou introduced an unusual musical instrument called "Pan flute" of Romania. The sound of the flute was very good with the smell of simple soil of the country.
The numbers were "Reminiscence","Phantom of opera", "Christmas songs", and more.
The music composed by Ms. Asou was performed as well such as "Cats conference" and "Peace."
She composed "Peace" by imaging her most favorite resort Yufuin.
The concert was over soon.
They played "Edelweiss" as an encore. Ms.
Asou will have a recital in January. I expect to join the recital. Kyouko Asou, flute recital January 28, 2005 at 14:00 iichiko Music Hall |

After the recital, we visited a tearoom.
A lovely Christmas tree.
We felt the music lingering on in our minds after the performance was over.
In the recital,Mr. Fukada played
"April Snow." He said the number was good for a snowy day like today. |
