December 21, 2003: Yufuin in snow
As we are not familiar with driving on the snowy road, we stayed here in Yufuin last night.
Next morning. The roof of bath house is covered with snow. Steam rises into the coldness. I soon enjoyed morning spa.
I walked out to enjoy snow covered landscape.
Icicles have formed under the eaves.
Kinrin pond generates steam.
The pond is really fantastic.
This is the entrance of Kamenoi Besso logging area. The air is cold and crispy.
The top of Mt. Yufu is frozen.
As Junko Ohmori has a little chance to look around Yufuin, even though she has played frequently here in Yufuin, we drove up to a pass, the entrance of climbing Mt. Yufu.
My. Yufu is close at hand from Sagiridai point of view.

The down going road was frozen a little and thrilling, however.
On our way back to the hotel, we dropped in my friend's house. The garden is covered with snow as the house is located in a hillside.
We enjoyed good coffee and pleasant chatting for a while.
We returned back to Kamenoi Besso hotel to meet Ms. Aso.

I said good bye to them. It was very good to have a wonderful time together with Ohmori and Yufin friends.
