November 10, 2002: Black tea and antique jewelry
Winter has arrived here in Oita at last. On a warm Sunday today, I came up to a hot spot like this together with my friends.
A hot spot in an ordinary residential area? Even a Union Jack flag swings in the air.
An insider would know that this is the very "The House of Black Tea." A crazy England lover opened the shop
Paddington Room
at last.
Not only black tea itself, many other black-tea-related-goods are on the shelves.
Today’s air, however, is a little bit different from ordinary days. Luxurious flower of antique jewelry are on the tables.
Wonderful accessories of late 19th to early 20th century.

On a good timing, Christmas brooches attract my attention. In Europe, many people collect the kind of brooches only, they say.
From left, Yumiko who brought back those goods from London all the way, owner Noura, and Takahashi who took me here today.
Yumiko explained the goods in detail.

The a cameo hides a couple of man and woman, can you see it? The answer is that at the top of the head is a woman and in the bang is a man. The couple is unintentionally carved in the cameo.
Wonderful brooches
Out of many rings, Yumiko picked up a sample called "Shake hands ring." When I opened the shook hand, a shape of heart appeared. What a wonderful art! What lady was presented such a wonderful goods?
I enjoyed a pleasant afternoon over the aroma of good black tea.
Many other wonderful cakes made me very happy.
I could make many good new friends today.
