July 26, 2000: The 26th YMF opens tomorrow
The 26th YMF opens tomorrow after all. As usual, we drove up to Yufuin height to stay in the town during the festival for working as the staff.

About 40 minute's drive takes us to the valley. Mt. Yufu welcomed us with its beautiful slope under the summer clear sky.
YMF is usually held at the municipal hall of Yufuin town. We first start cleaning of the hall.
The local volunteers already set the sound reflectors in position.
A big grand piano was brought in. I am always admired to see that just three workers smartly set such a heavy instrument in the position.
The basic settings of the hall were over, and we headed to Kanakana-Tei cottage in which we will stay during the festival. On the way, I saw a re-thatching of a straw-thatched cottage in Kamenoi Hotel. It is a rare view for me.
After seven in the evening, we joined a welcome dinner with the artists at familiar Tanaka Inn. After the dinner, many volunteers showed up. Now, the 26th YMF will be ready for start.
