A combined kick-off party of YMF and Yufuin Movie Festival was held today at Makie Museum in Yufuin. Sightseeing Committee Branch of Hotel Union of Yufuin sponsored the party. |

| The party will be held in Bar Meibun on the second floor. The Bar is an adult space but is used for concert as well. I found a wonderful glass stand on the floor. Through the large window, we can enjoy a grand vista of Mt. Yufu. Oh, no, the mountain is shrouded with thick cloud today. | |

| Many people joined today, from town Office, Sightseeing Committee, Hotel Union, and others. From left, Ms. Shide, in charge of event section of the Committee, first makes a few words in behalf of the sponsors. She is the landlady of Musouen Hotel. Mr. Kunpei Mizoguchi takes over her words and proposes a toast. Mr. Masakuni Kato of YMF and Mr. Itoh of Movie Festival also make some words. | |
| Now, let's enjoy wonderful foods. There are so many tasty food of Yufuin. The round shaped canape is eggplant of bean curd baked and coated with miso paste. The paste was really mild and fine. Behind them is barbecue of Bungo beef. It was very tender and juicy. |  |

| Mr. Kikuchi of Sansuikan Hotel plays piano. Many theme melodies of dear old movies fill the hall, making it a wonderful space of pleasant drinking and chatting. It was really a rich time. |  |

| I wonder what they are talking about. Yes, Mr. Kikuchi plays piano and Yamaguchi sings. Mr. Yoneta (center), general secretariat of Yufuin Sightseeing Committee, is in charge of emcee tonight and is very happy to introduce them. |  |

"I will not use a microphone this time" Yamaguchi declared and sang wonderful canzones. The ad-lib performance received a storm of applause.
The party was over in success. I hope many guests will join to YMF and Movie Festival this summer. |
