An old soy brewery Kanei sits quietly along the Ibo River. The brewery is open to public for sightseeing and dates back to early Meiji era. Red brick stack is a symbol of the brewery. |
![]() White plastered wall, black board skirt, storage house built in the foundation days, all have a history spanning over 130 years. On the right is a huge cask. What beautiful and simple the old cask is! |
![]() In front of the brewery is a small bookshop called Fushimiya. The shop has an unusual corridor in the mezzanine with a skylight. |
![]() A community hall with Hina Dolls and peach flower arrangement inside. Unfortunately, the hall is closed today. |

My favorite old street that reflects good old days of a castle town. The number of tourist is increasing as well. I love Tatsuno very much and hope to have good atmosphere forever. |

Sweet boiled down Ikanago called Kugi-ni after its shape like a bent nail. The taste is booming recently, they say. I could enjoy one day of Tatsuno. |
