Now, it is March. In my small garden, various kinds of flower have started to sprout here and there. It is one of my pleasure to look around the garden in the morning talking to the new buds or lovely green leaves, and swelling up of the earth under which tiny buds of "Giboshi" are waiting for shooting. The white triangle horns of crocus give me an alarm when I am about to walk on them carelessly. After several days, I can see tiny buds in telltale color of yellow or violet. In a sunny morning, the buds are suddenly inflated like balloons and burst into bloom. "Good morning my crocus, you have just brought spring here!"

A Haiku :
"The soil was broken directly by the petals of crocus."
I made it this time last year at the Haiku meeting in a community center and I got a high rating.
In the summer end, we buy the bulb in mass from Toyama prefecture through the Group of Friend. I usually order small amount of such bulbs like crocus, turip, hyacinth, lily, narcissus, and muscari. After I plant them here and there of the garden in the end of autumn, I wait for spring. Those bulbs have been stretching their roots every year and sprout in spring to make my eyes feel pleasant. Crocus blooms first in spring. I am very happy to expect what color of lovely stamens and pistils I can see this morning, yellow, violet, or white?
