diary,

May 6, 1998
From old time, May 2nd is said to be "the eighty-eighth day from the beginning of spring( February 2nd.)" Tea picking starts here and there after the date. As I took a look at a town paper about the open-house of a nearby tea garden, I drove down to there today, after the "Golden holiday season" was over. The tea tree field was quietly spread on an undulating meadow. The chief of the tea factory kindly explained me how to produce tea in detail. I got many bags of the fresh green tea as the souvenirs of my trip to the USA.

I said good-bye today to the small car which has been used as a commuting car of my husband. After is retirement, the car ran busily around the town for a while to make preparation of retirement-related paper works. The car ran admirable 92,000 Km in five years between home and office. The car made its best along with my husband. I took the last picture of the car. Farewell and thank you for a long time, indeed!
