October 10: A berbecue partyby Mie
I got a phone call from Mr. Fujio last night: "How about enjoying a berbecue party viewing the sea at Mr. Shibata's second house?" I couldn't resist the invitation.

It is a beautiful day today, indeed. I follwed to Mr. Yuuki's car to get Mr. Shibata's office at 11 a.m. I unexpectedly found Mr. Fujio's car in the next lane.

Many Internet friends flocked in twos and threes to the office. The berbecue site is located in a seaside of Saganoseki town, some 15 miles to the east. We shared the cars to drive up there. Mr. Takemoto (left) and Mr. Fujio (right) will go by bicycle. Mrs. Shibata and I will go to a supermarket to buy foods.
We arrived at the second house on the seaside of Saganoseki town. There are a large warehouse and a small house on a height overviewing wonderful landscape of the Beppu bay. Berbecue portable cooking stoves are ready to cook the food. The Matsumuras brought in beverages and drinks. My husband prepares the table as well.
Mr. Shibata's second house is under construction. I prepared vegetables in the kitchen in the back. Mrs. Shibata hopes to make the second house open to the friends and enjoy together. She said she would welcome any cooking tools or dishes not in use in your home.
Mr. Yuuki can't resist the lure of beer. Deep blue sea opens in front of the height. Kunisaki penninsula and Shikoku Island can be seen in the distance.
A pleasant party is in full swing; from left Mrs. Shibata, Mr. Fujio, Mie, Mrs. Matsumura, and Mr. Yuuki who is busy in roasting meet.

Mr. Shibata in white shirt relaxes on a chair. Thank you very much for a wonderful party tyoday. Mr. Takemoto arrived in 40 minutes. He is happy to drink beer after a jogging for a while. Mr. Kuboki (right) is fully relaxed in the shade.

Today's ingredients are beef, sausage, chicken, and small Kibinago fish. They are seasoned with pepper and salt, then roasted on the stoves that release much amount of far-infrared radiation.
Mr. Fujio is second to none in roasting chicken with charcoal fire.

Happy guys, Mr. Matsumura (left) and Mr. Murakami. Matsumura junior is happy as well.
Route 197 runs along the coastline. The route crosses the strait by ferryboat to land on Shikoku Island. I walked down to the beach to see an illusted map of the area. The signboard is set on a big Seki mackerel, a special catch of the strait.

Kids are playing on the beach. The sea stretches as far as eye can reach and sea breeze gently passes by.
We are also happy to visit the seashore after a long time.

Mr. Yuuki helps to set fluorescent lights on the ceiling of the large warehouse. Mr. Shibata steers a forklift (left.) Mr. Takemoto (center) and Mr. Kuboki (right) clean the fence covered covered with ivy and tall weed.

After the party, we all cleaned the site up. On the way home, I passed by two guys, Mr. Fujio and Mr. Takemoto, going by bycycles. They arrived at Mr. Shibata's office after a while. Tough guys! We have had a wonderful day today, thank you very much.
