July 26th: The Farewel Party starts at seven p.m.

The concluding party was held at Kamenoi Besso's Yunotakean restaurant. This customary ending party always is a favorite with both audience members and artists, who can meet and converse. Thanks to the Yufuin Business Association, the very popular barbecue is being made ready to serve.
Mr. Kunpei Mizoguchi, Chairman of the Festival, gives his greetings. Though usually hot and humid, the weather is becoming more comfortable in the evening.
Mayor Kakuya Yoshimura declared that the YMF is one of the most outstanding features of Yufuin town. Here he toasts the coming of the 25th Annual Festival next year!
Each musician had a chance to share their experiences with the Festival. Here members of the Yufuin Summer Ensemble recall their impressions. From the right: String players Takashi Shimizu, Iwahisa Kuroki, Yukiko Teraoka, Kaoru Ohno, and pianist Misako Kono.
Members of Quartet Armonico. From the right: Ryo Kubota, Emi Ikuta, Sayo Sugaya, and Natsuko Sakamoto.
Mr. Masakuni Kato, General Secretariat of YMF, with staff volunteers Yawara Watanabe and Aya Fuji. Do you notice the person in Yukata, or informal summer kimono, in the background?
A snap shot which includes myself. From the right: Festival board member Misako Fuchino, Shigemi Takei, conductor of the Oita Medieval Chorus, Michio Kobayashi, prominent harpsichordist, Ms. Nakaya, wife of Kamenoi Besso's owner, flutist Naoko Kirihara, and me. I worked as a floor manager this time as well, why I am still wearing apron?
Jim and my husband are chatting pleasantly with Mrs. Izumi Kuwano of Tamanoyu Hotel. My husband worked as a driver for Mr. Kobayashi as usual.
The Festival was over. I am now relaxed and enjoy delicious beer with Ms. Kotoi and Ms. Gondo.
A second party was held at hotel Tanaka in which artists stay. I took a commemorative picture with members. All are still vivid even late in the midnight. I hope to have a wonderful Festival next year as well.
