Japanese September 6, 2003: Welcome to Oita from Hong Kong |
|
Harsh heat still lingering here and there even September has started. In my garden, many Confederate rose flowers are in bloom.
Today is the best day for us, waiting for a long time. Yes, cute lady Lillian who had stayed in my home before will come back. We headed to Oita airport with the greatest joy. |
|
Last time, she stayed my home to learn Japanese language and life. This time, she has visited me after her business in Tokyo. She has grown up to a very beautiful lady.
When Lillian had left to Hong Kong, we visited her home land in Christmas season and exchanged with her family. This time we meet for the first time in two years.
On the way back to home, we dropped in a shopping center and bought some chop sticks for her.
Lillian looks relaxed at her "second home" in Japan.
I was told her dream by viewing her company's home page.

Oita is in an incinerator today as well. We relaxed at home. Ok, make bread for lunch together.
Lillian soon rolls up the dough on the table skillfully.
Will beautiful bread come out of the oven?
Yes, of course. We enjoyed just-out-of-the-oven bread in the comfortably air conditioned living room.
In the evening, we drove out to Beppu City and took a dinner at a family restaurant.
Then tried a bathing in Takegawara spa,
Walked along the beach by looking the moon and leaving Mars after its closest approach in 60,000 years,
passing through the illumination of Beppu streets,
to wait until nine p.m. | |
A limousine bus arrived from Fukuoka airport. Yes, Doris, the younger sister of Lillian, has arrived at last. |
|
She makes overseas trip every year with her families, but this time she came to Japan by alone. I suppose she felt something uneasy until this moment. She was welcomed warmly by her elder sister and us. |
|
We arrived home late in the night. She gave me a wonderful souvenir, Geppei cake and my favorite milk tea. We will soon cerebrate the "Beautiful moon in the mid autumn." The cake symbolizes the full moon.
The cake was just made before noon today. Thank you very much for your kindness. The cakes were in a beautiful jewelry box which is used for special gift to cerebrate the mid autumn moon. Thank you very much you two and their parent sin Hong Kong.
