April 9, 2003: A volcano watches cherry blossoms

I enjoyed the cherry blossoms in Tokyo and Yokohama last week.
Today, I looked through the beautiful flowers in volcano Aso area.

I enjoyed the blossoms only through the bus window on my way to Kumamoto City
to attend the regular meeting. The flowers look something like illusionary.
Beyond the cherry blossoms lined road, volcano Aso is visible in the distance.
On my way back to Oita, I found the cherry trees whose blossoms have fallen,
revealing the fresh green leaves in Taketa rest station.
I am very happy to enjoy many blossoms this season.
