Japanese April 9, 2003: A volcano watches cherry blossoms |
I enjoyed the cherry blossoms in Tokyo and Yokohama last week. Today, I looked through the beautiful flowers in volcano Aso area. I enjoyed the blossoms only through the bus window on my way to Kumamoto City to attend the regular meeting. The flowers look something like illusionary. |
Beyond the cherry blossoms lined road, volcano Aso is visible in the distance. |
On my way back to Oita, I found the cherry trees whose blossoms have fallen, revealing the fresh green leaves in Taketa rest station. I am very happy to enjoy many blossoms this season. |
