| Today is the second day of "Life Exhibition for Healthy Home" in cerebration with the 70th anniversary of National Group of Friends. Oita Branch members headed to Rainbow building with food to be displayed on the Exhibition. | |
|
|
| We arrived the site a little bit earlier than the time appointed for meeting from 9:00 a.m. Many staffs are already working hard for set up the hall.
I found Miss Korenaga of COARA Co., Ltd. sitting in front of a personal computer for tuning. She kindly dropped in on her way to the office. Thank you very much! |

On the children corner, a new sheet is being prepared for seal affix by the guests. Yesterday, much more seals were attached on the sheet than we had anticipated. New sheet will be needed today. |
| At 9:00 a.m., Ms. Matoba, general leader of Oita Branch, made a few words with joke, "I am sorry to say that we have just one day for the Exhibition today."
Last night, I got two E-mails; one from Ms. Kohama of Ichikawa Branch (she had been a member of Oita Branch until several years ago), and from Ms. Furukawa from Miyazaki Branch. Ms. Matoba introduced those congratulatory messages. |

| Ms. Ogata (left, at left) introduced the Exhibition to Ms. Hiramatsu, wife of Governor of Oita Prefecture. Mrs. Hiramatsu looks through the Exhibition for an hour. She said she was very interested in learning actual numbers of household, in particular those of fifties who have college students. She was also impressed by knowing that there were as much as four Branches in Oita Prefecture. | |

We were worrying about the decrease of the guests around noon, but in the afternoon many young guests appeared and we were relieved.
So many young families are looking through the Exhibition very eagerly. We were really delighted to know that they accepted our efforts. On the back are the panels by Araki who visited Bangladesh in this January for "kitchen-to-kitchen exchange." |

|
| Children are pleasantly looking around the panels and actual food displays saying, "They look very tasty" or "Are they real?" Children were interested in affixing the seals of "What time did you get up this morning?" or "Do you help your mother?" | |

"Apron Theater" started on the children corner. What will pop out of the apron pocket? Children gaze Ms. Hara. |
| The member from Kitakyushu Branch came in. They are planning to have a life exhibition in October and now in full swing of the preparation. I am very glad to see my dear old friends Kato who was in the same group with me, Watanabe who had entered in my group of Oita Branch, Kawashimo, the leader of planning section, Nakahashi with whom I had worked as a leader of children rearing, Oniki, and Fujiyoshi. | ![]() |

| Ms. Mika Ono arrived from COARA Co., Ltd. who kindly prepared a PC this time for the Exhibition. "Well, I can see that household hour has been decreasing in past 45 years." She took pictures with a digital camera and affixed seals on the board saying, "I got up at 6:30 this morning." The Exhibition was over at 4:00 p.m. as scheduled. Ono cleaned up the table and brought back the PC. Thank you very much for your kindness of renting the PC by free. Her report of today is here. | |

All the guests left the hall. Two days Exhibition is over. We have a close meeting.
Total number of the guests is about 520 excluding 120 children. We are very satisfied that so many guests visited this spacious and clean hall. |

Everything we brought-in into the hall was taken out and put into the cars. We returned to the Branch house. We have been working hard for the Exhibition, and it was over at last. From now on, the actual life to materialize the Exhibition will start tomorrow. I will spend my life with a refreshing sense. (The end) |
