July 28, 2000: Educational report meeting
	Jiyuu Gakuen (Campus of Freedom) opened an educational report meeting in Oita today. They will have 14 meetings in whole Japan. As the meeting is opened only in Oita City in Kyushu Island, many people gathered.
The members of Oita Group of Friends helped setting up of the site. Calligraphy works by the student of Jiyuu Gakuen are displayed on the wall for viewing.
	The thinking of the founder and basic educational concepts of Jiyuu Gakuen are displayed on the panels together with many pictures of the Campus. Many parents are reading them carefully.
An introductory video film taken by a student of the Campus was put on the screen. After that, six students from Kyushu Island reported on some topics of the Campus, including the daily life of the dormitories, sewing class, and their experience of confusion by entering the Campus from high school course. The vivid experience strongly appealed to the audience. Some 60 guests joined today including 12 families with children.
	From the Campus, Mr. Takata of mathematics and Mr. Yano of science came to the meeting. They talked about the features of education in the Campus and how to prepare for the entrance examination.
after the question and answer time, the participants looked through the works by the student or picked up the explanatory materials on the Campus. Oita Branch members helped them as well.
	I remembered the days when my son was learning in the Campus. The female students sewed bed covers, one-piece dresses, and aprons and demonstrated them today. Some pieces of the handling of the needle contain a lot of memories of the students, the teacher explained.
The souvenir cookies from the Campus were distributed to the guests together with tea and cold drinks at the lobby. The meeting was over in a warm atmosphere.
	We moved to a hotel nearby to take lunch. Red flowers of Chinese lantern plant in the lobby attracted the attentions of the guests from afar.
On the lunch, we talked friendly about the impression of the day and asked additional questions to the teachers. After we left the meeting, they had a parents' association of Kyushu Branch. Many students and parents joined today all the way to hot Oita, thank you very much for the wonderful meeting today.
